Biography

He was born in 1970 in Erzurum. He completed his primary and secondary education in Erzurum. He graduated from Selçuk University Faculty of Education Department of Primary Teaching in 1996. After working as a class teacher for a while, he became a research assistant at the Department of Islamic History and Arts of the Faculty of Theology at Ataturk University in 1998. In 2001, he prepared a masters thesis on "Calligrapher Mustafa Halim Özyazıcı, Life, Art and Works". In 2004, Hattat Mehmed Özçay Bey received icazetnâme in the thülüs-nesih texts. In 2010, he finished his doctorate with his work "Hattat Mehmed Şevki Efendi and Sülüs-Nesih Hat School". Erzurumlu Abraham on the subject of the Symposium on Erzurum Ibrahim "s Tefvîznâme poetry by writing a poem," Tefvîznâme "a book was prepared. He also writes about arts in many cultural and artistic magazines. He is still working at Süleyman Demirel Fine Arts Faculty Department of Traditional Turkish Arts.
