Abstract

Background: Postoperative peritoneal adhesions are major complications of abdominopelvic surgeries. We aim to investigate the preventive and therapeutic effects of cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) supplementation on postoperative peritoneal adhesion (PPA) in a rat model.
