Abstract

This study was carried out in Ciglikara Cedrus libani (A. Rich.) forest located in the Susuz Mountain-Elmali in the southwest of Turkey. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between modern pollen distribution and modern vegetation in the pure cedar forest. For this purpose, Tauber pollen traps and moss samples were collected from five different sample areas between the years 2015 and 2017. The highest pollen influx (cm(2)/year) was found in the traps for the period of 2015-2016. It was observed that modern pollen distribution is significant in the pure cedar forest according to the presence of taxa, which have high pollen influx values, in the vegetation record ring.
