Özet

This study proposes a hybrid methodology including graphical and numerical analysis for trend identification. The proposed graph is constructed from two divided but unsorted time series by considering the differences in the median values of the two series. In addition to the graphical representation, the median ratio test has been added. The study was modeled with 10,000 virtual data sets. The application data are 24-hour maximum precipitation data taken from 10 provinces in Türkiye (Çanakkale, Çorlu, Dikili, Dörtyol, Edirne, İnebolu, Niğde, Şanlıurfa, Yozgat, Zonguldak) between 1961 and 2020. The proposed method was compared by calculating Mann-Kendall (MK), IV-ITA, and Wilcoxon test statistics. No trend was determined for ZMK, ZW, IV-ITA, and the proposed method at Dikili, Şanlıurfa, Yozgat, and Zonguldak stations. An increasing trend was determined at Çorlu, Dörtyol, Edirne, and İnebolu stations. While other methods except MK were consistent at Çanakkale station, the remaining methods except IV-ITA were consistent at Niğde station.
