Özet
For a variety of factors, cardiovascular (heart and vascular) disorders are
today’s and emerging main causes of mortality (death) and morbidity (incapacity)
in countries. Furthermore, health has a significant influence in spending due to its
direct and indirect expenses. In recent years, cardiovascular disease death rates
have dropped dramatically in many European countries. Despite the fact that it
has dropped, it is still the leading cause of mortality in Europe. In developing
countries, more than 80% of deaths due to cardiovascular disease occur. It’s
expected to happen (Narla et al. 2009, Uyar 2009, Perk et al. 2012). The behavior
of society’s conservation programs aiming at change has had an impact on the
lowering trend of cardiovascular disease in industrialized countries. Cardiovascular
problems are linked to an unhealthy lifestyle and social environment, according
to studies. (Arıkan et al, 2009). Cholesterol is separated into two categories: good
cholesterol and bad cholesterol. The existence of benign cholesterol (HDL),
which is important in the body and should be present in high amounts, is critical
to our health. HDL aids in the transport of excess cholesterol from the body to the
liver, where it is digested and eliminated through the digestive system. Because it
slows blood circulation and removes cholesterol that causes vascular obstruction,
HDL is regarded as “good cholesterol.” Malignant cholesterol (LDL), on the other
hand, is a protein produced in the liver and transmitted through the bloodstream.
In addition to being well-known, LDL has a number of favorable characteristics.
When the transporter of antioxidants and amino acids to other cells, LDL (Güven
A., 2005), is identified in excess in the human body, it has a negative influence
on the body.
As a result, early detection and treatment are crucial. The disorder is treated
with drugs like ezetimibe and simvastatin. As a result, the concentrations of
ezetimibe and simvastatin must be determined. In this study, UV spectroscopy
data was used to make chemometric measurements of cholesterol medicines.
