Jaundice is a clinical entity in which sclera, skin and mucous membranes turn to yellow colored due to the increase in serum bilirubin concentration. Many etiological factors, primarily liver diseases and bile duct diseases, may be responsible for jaundice. In this article, we aimed to review the general management of a patient with jaundice beginning from history of the patient, diagnostic evaluation, differential diagnosis and treatment algorithms consequently.
