Özet
Objective: – This study was planned to investigate the effect of exercise on bone tissue in aged rats exposed to a combined frequency of electromagnetic fields(EMFs). Methods: – Rats were exposed to combined EMF and subjected to aerobic exercise on a treadmill 5 days a week. At the end of the experiment, histopathological, immunohistochemical, genetic analyses, scanning electron microscopy analysis, and 3-point bending tests were performed on rat bone tissues. Results and conclusions: – Exposure to combined EMF caused damage to bone tissue and negatively affected the biomechanical properties of aged rats, whereas exercise had a protective role against this damage.
