In a photonuclearexperiment, we have measured the decay gamma-ray in coincidence with a single knocked-out neutron for the first time. Using this technique, we have measured the decay gamma-ray from O-15, after a O-16(gamma, n) reaction with a similar to60 MeV tagged photon. This has proven that it is possible to obtain a more improved energy resolution than is currently attainable in (gamma, n).
