Abstract

New organocobaloximes of the types, [RCo(HL)(2)H2O] and [RCo(HL)(2)APy] (R= izopropyl and benzyl, H2L1= 4(4-chlorophenylamino)biphenylglyoxime, H2L2 = 4-(naphtyl-1-amino) biphenylglyoxime, APy= 2-acetyl pyridine) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, molar conductivity, H-1-NMR, FT-IR, ICP-OES data. In addition, the thermal decomposition of complexes with H2L2 was studied in nitrogen atmosphere. The magnetic susceptibilities of the complexes indicated that they are diamagnetic (low-spin d(6) octahedral).
