5th International Cherry Symposium, Bursa, Turkey, 6 - 10 June 2005, pp.695-697
Low winter and spring temperatures often can injure fruit buds of sweet cherry (Prunus avium L.) trees. In some of the major export-oriented production regions of Turkey, temperatures dropped below -15 degrees C in late December 2002 for similar to 10 to 44 h. As a result, cold injury to flower buds ranged from 34% in Konya to 40% in Isparta to 61% in Afyon.
