Özet
Benzimidazole is a heterocyclic and significant pharmacophore found in the structure of many natural and biologically active compounds. It is seen in the literature that compounds containing a benzimidazole core have various pharmacological properties such as antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, and antihypertensive. Benzimidazole-based compounds stand out as promising structures in the research and development of effective antibacterial drugs in line with their biological activities and clinical applications. This review, it is aimed to have information about the chemical structures and antibacterial activities of various benzimidazole derivatives in different studies.
