Özet
This study highlights the critical importance of polar regions for our planet and examines the responsibilities undertaken by stakeholders at both global and local scales from a game theory perspective for a sustainable future. Game theory, which is a valuable tool in analyzing interactions and strategic decisions among two or more players, is broadly applicable in economics, the environmental sciences, policy, and the natural sciences. In this study, game theory is used to determine optimal solutions that lead to maximum environmental sustainability in polar areas, using Chinstrap Penguins (Pygoscelis antarcticus) as the case. An additional consideration is the game theory and its ability of management within complex systems, and the difficulty and complications involved in the multi-criteria decision-making process which this study also considers. Lastly, the study has implications for policy making both with regard to polar regions and for polar wildlife, and provides substantial guidance for future research on this topic.
