Abstract

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the microbial floras of oropharynx, nose and bowel in acne patients in comparison with healthy subjects. The presence of nasal and oropharyngeal Staphylococcus aureus carriage, methicillin and inducible or constitutive inacrolide-lincosamide-streptogramin B (i/c MLS) resistance rates among S. aureus strains and the presence of extended spectrum beta lactarnase activity (ESBL) among Gram negative bacteria of Enterobactericeae family were evaluated.
