The evaluations of the royal tombs, their datings and the interpretations of the grave finds from Alacahöyük, which
has been systematically investigated since 1935, are insuffficient. For this reason, the grave finds were evaluated again
in 2009 and the results of the investigations paved the way for new interpretations. The radiocarbon analyzes carried
out in this context enable a possible dating in the second quarter of the 3rd millennium BC and provide a new basis
for discussion.
