Özet
Türkiye faces significant seismic activity regularly, with major earthquakes inflicting severe damage on the country's infrastructure and economy. The extensive damage sustained by the road network due to a recent earthquake in the country's Southeastern region, along with the types of pavement damage and disruptions to traffic flow and emergency operations, are examined. The paper outlines a proposed approach to enhance the network's resilience to earthquakes by assessing vulnerabilities in the network and planning effective mitigation, response, and recovery ideas. Methods discussed include modeling, performance-based evaluations, and strategies for improving emergency preparedness and long-term recovery planning.
