Özet

Today, technological tools have become an important part of our lives and health practices have also

changed with rapid developments. With the development of technology, developments are also

emerging in the field of health. As a result of these developments, many applications have emerged in

the field of health, and the transition from traditional clinical environment to remote care and

education models is provided. Health services is one of the areas where technology and innovation are

used intensively and significant improvements in service quality have been achieved. In recent years,

the Covid-19 pandemic has further reinforced this process; it has enabled the adoption of tools such as

telemedicine, telehealth and mobile health applications, artificial intelligence-supported applications

and wearable technologies.

Applications emerging with the development of technology can provide benefits especially for

informing women about education and care in periods such as pregnancy and postpartum, and for

predicting complications that may occur.

The postpartum period is a period in which physical, psychological and emotional changes occur and

maternal-neonatal morbidity and mortality occur the most. Supporting this period with effective and

qualified care has positive effects on maternal and infant health. Early diagnosis, diagnosis and

treatment of bleeding, breastfeeding problems, depression and physiological problems that may occur

in the postpartum period have positive results such as reducing the health of the woman, reducing the

responsibilities of the midwife and reducing costs in the field of health. However, the use of

technological applications in health services may lead to various ethical discussions and may cause

some undesirable results.
