Özet

Today, depending on the changes in the technological field, people's lives are getting easier in many ways. In recent years, the development in internet and communication and information technologies has been increasing rapidly. With the popularization of the internet access to health information became easier and contributed to the dissemination of this information. When the researches are examined, there has been a great increase in searches for health information on the internet and health searches have taken their place in the foreground. With the introduction of smart devices into our lives, many applications that could be done with different devices before were collected in a single device. In addition to these gains, smart devices have also brought many negative situations. Some of these are the weakening of face-to-face communication, more individualization of individuals, information pollution, addictive practices and the psychological problems it brings. Due to the fact that some individuals cannot give up on the virtual environment, they also hinder their daily work. However, it is reported that the internet has the potential to increase worry and anxiety when individuals with low medical knowledge cannot use the health information on the internet consciously. In this direction, it is expected that the level of anxiety and worry will be low as a conscious individual who searches for / obtains health / disease information over the internet (web providers) will be more controlled. As a result of the increase in internet usage (Blog Disclosure, Cheesepodding, CrackBerry, Ego Surfing, Infornography, Facebook Depression, Mouse-Keyboard Disease, FOBO, FoMO, Google Tracking, Hikikomori Phenomenon, Internet Nervous, JOMO, Myspace Imitation, Netlessphobia, Nintendinitis, Nomophobia, Photolurking, Selfitis, Cyberchondria, Stalking, Wikipedialism, Youtube Narcissism etc.) newly defined disorders brought about by the digital world have emerged. Newly defined phobias and other psychological problems arise every day due to the problematic use of smart devices. This situation, which is a great danger to society, is becoming a greater threat every day. In today's digital age, communication between individuals is provided by sharing from social networks instead of face-to-face communication. This situation can also negatively affect our cultural characteristics. Due to the problematic use of smart devices, individuals cannot spare enough time for their families, friends, work and lessons. Considering that especially young individuals use smart devices more, it is an inevitable result that this situation negatively affects their academic achievement.
