Özet
Digitalization leads to radical transformations in areas such as patient experience, healthcare marketing, hospital management processes, and data security. This study aims to examine the changes that digitalization has created in the healthcare sector; to evaluate the positive and negative aspects of this process for patients and hospitals; and to discuss the precautions that can be taken against the risks that arise. With the widespread use of digital health applications, issues such as privacy, access inequality, patient satisfaction, and service quality have become more prominent on the agenda. In this study, the effects of digitalization on the patient-hospital relationship were evaluated in the light of current sources. As a result, while digitalization provides contributions such as ease of access, time and space independence, and patient empowerment in healthcare services, it also carries risks such as digital divide, data security and privacy, and reduced human contact. In this context, it is recommended that hospitals develop strong data security policies, organize training programs to increase digital literacy, and offer special digital solutions to disadvantaged groups.
