Abstract

Water is the basis of life on earth, which is why it's protection is so important. Man through his activity poses a threat to both its resources and quality. The pressures exerted on the waters are primarily related to the emission of municipal and industrial wastewater from sewage treatment plants, as well as entering the waters as surface runoff diffuse pollution. Point and non-point sources pollution of surface waters can have a significant impact on the physico-chemical state of the receiver.
