Özet
Purpose. Decreased fibrinolytic activity in the serosal surfaces of peritoneal tissue appears to be a major factor in the development of peritoneal fibrous adhesions. The omentum reduces peritoneal adhesion by creating a mechanical barrier and producing fibrinolytic factors. This experimental study was designed to investigate the effects of omentectomy on the peritoneal fibrinolytic system.
