In the present experiment the effects of clutch size on egg production in Japanese quail (Coturnix coturnix japonica) was investigated. In total, 131 six weeks old female quails were kept in individual cages and daily egg productions and egg weights were recorded over a period of six months. At the end of the production period the analyzed phenotypic correlations between clutch numbers, clutch size, pause numbers, pause size, hen-day egg production and egg weight were calculated.
