Abstract

In this paper, the thermodynamic performance analysis of low temperature
power generation system to produce power and hydrogen is investigated. This
integrated system is mainly consisted of two sub-systems, which are photovoltaicthermal
(PV-T) collector series, and organic Rankine cycle (ORC). The working fluid of
ORC sub-system is chosen as R600 organic fluid. The impact of design parameters,
such as air flow rate, temperature and pressure of PV-T collector, turbine inlet
temperature and pressure, pinch point temperature, on the system performance is
considered by Engineering Equation Solver (EES) software program. Also, the effects
of refence conditions (ambient temperature and solar radiation flux) on the integrated
system performance is analyzed for more effectively system design aims.
